The Ventures Professional Development Seminar on Differentiated Instruction provides teachers with very practical organizational and instructional strategies that can be used to implement Differentiated Instruction in the classroom.
Issues around assessment, the grouping of students and ways to differentiate across curriculum content areas are thoroughly explored as part of this Seminar.
Materials for the Seminar contain many practical tools that will help teachers whether they are looking to introduce or enhance Differentiated Instruction in the classroom. As they engage in the various activities, participants will use a variety of interactive strategies; these strategies are very simple but highly structured. These same strategies can be used with students in the classroom to develop their communication and higher-order thinking skills.
