NYCDOE Awarded Contracts
Since the late 1990s VESC™ has been awarded a number of Requirements Contracts that have allowed the ability to work with New York City schools, K-12. Over the years we have successfully provided professional development services for teachers and administrators, as well as some direct student services. We have also been active in the Comprehensive School Reform (CSR) Program.

Through school-based workshops and in-class coaching, VESC™ provides professional development programs for teachers, administrators, and parents that offer the latest research-based instructional strategies and materials in the areas of Career and Technical education for K-12 students and their families.
Professional Development Courses Offered:
- Career Exploration and Academic Success for Elementary Students Grades K-4.
- Career Development and Academic Success for Middle School Grades 5-8.
- 9th Grade High School, Career Development and Post-High School Education Planning.
- Professional Development for School Leadership in Career and Technical Education
- Unit and Lesson Planning
Our approach to instruction is constructivist in nature, based on a balanced approach to literacy development, and enhanced by our system of higher order thinking skills, which is known as the Ventures Initiative and Focus™ student-centered system of teaching and learning.
